I just switched my internet to Time Warner RR, in my first bill it stated we like checks. I wonder if that is a dig to D* wanting everyone on auto pay.

Just takes longer to process is all.
Give them a check and you keep the money a little longer.

Probably just meant in general since a lot of companies are trying to get away from checks as they are more costly for them to process. I can't recall who it was, but there was a big fuss when a large insurance company said there would be $3.00 surcharge for payments made by check. Finally, they had to back off on it.

Probably just marketing they are check friendly. They can be cheaper if well managed, you get rid of the 1-2% credit card charge. If you pay an outside service to process them for you, then you're probably in the same spot.
