Does anyone know why the Cincinnati local HD channels were placed on the satellite at 77 when the rest of Ohio seems to be on the new Ciel satellite at 129? Is there any chance of Cincinnati channels moving to 129?

Having the locals on 77 means that all existing customers must have a wing dish or new 100.4 dish installed. That's good news for the installation companies but a pain in the .... neck for everyone else.

Thanks.

From what I hear all new cincinnati instillations are going to be on EA. As far as why they put them on 77, it is all about room on the satellites and location. There are alot of cities who require a wing dish to get there locals. They are not going to put them on 129 either.

And don't forget the Spot Beams. They have to feed you the signal from the satellite that gives the best coverage for your area, otherwise you would be complaining about rain fade or snow fade or some other kind of fade.
