I have a D9824 sat receiver with two MPE output ethernet jacks. The ultimate goal is to use this to view content from a remote location, but for now I'm just trying to view a single channel via direct connection to a laptop. I've set the IP on the receiver, dropped all channels except the test channel, set content to passthrough, tried both UDP and RTP, and essentially tried every combination of settings I can think of....but with no success using VLC to view the transport stream. Anyone familiar with TSoIP and know what I'm missing or have a suggestion for what I should try next? (I should note that the receiver/satellite work and I can view content via coax to TV). Thanks for any advice in advance!
