two companies that own large groups of stations are turning to older tv series
as a way to launch thier digital, over-the-air-sub- channels.
EQUITY BROADCASTING has begun the RETRO TELEVISION NETWORK on a
digital sub- channel of its stations in-UTAH,COLORADO/WYOMING,NEVADA,
WASHINGTON/SPOKANE,ARKANSAS,ILLINIOS/MISSOURI/NEWYORK/BUFFALO
the network shows old commercials and tv series like-the a-team,the beverly
hillbillies, kojak, quincy, thewild wild west, the rockford files, hogans heros,
gomer pyle,my three sons, hawaii five-o ,the lucy show, matlock, the andy griffith
show, little house on the prairie, mission impossible,
the other station group SINCLAIR BROADCASTING is launching a classic tv in
may 2006 on a digital sub-channel of WBFF, its fox affiliate in baltimore maryland
it apparently will offered on a digital sub-channel of Sinclair stations in other
markets as well

I love the RTN channels on my FTA system. Kinda makes me feel young again watching all those older shows I haven't seen in YEARS :D .

Equity has had RTN for almost a year now (July 1 05 is when Equity swapped affiliations of a few stations to RTN)
