I have 2.25 GHz coax running through the basement up into the wall and out thru an outlet to my 622. I want to get a Hopper and put it where my 622 is. On another thread it stated that 3 GHz is required. Is that true? How does it work with regards to running new coax if the receiver location is in the middle of the house (no outside wall to easily run new cable thru)? Does Dish snake new coax up thru the wall? Or, am I on my own to get that done myself?

The cable must be capable of 3GHz as it must carry 2-1/2 tuners worth of data. Whether your existing cable qualifies is impossible to know until someone tries your cable. The labeling isn't the limit, but the highest rating that the manufacturer will assure it to perform to.
