I use to have hughesnet for internet and wanted to move my Directv dish to the pole it was mounted on and was wondering will the coax for the hughesnet compatible for Directv

Probably, what is printed on the cable, RG6?
 
You should use solid core copper from the dish, but the copper clad steel usually works fine.
 
Solid copper core has lower voltage drop so you should use it for any long run between the power inserter and the dish. Everywhere else, regular RG6 is fine.
