Probably, what is printed on the cable, RG6?

How far away is the run from the pole to the recvr ?
If it's RG6, you should be fine.

I wouldn't go over 150' ...

You should use solid core copper from the dish, but the copper clad steel usually works fine.

RG6 comes in solid core copper and copper clad steel.

Solid copper core has lower voltage drop so you should use it for any long run between the power inserter and the dish. Everywhere else, regular RG6 is fine.
