I am going to install a 36 inch motorized dish with a x2 receiver. How long can the coaxial cable be without losing signal? There is a perfect spot on top of my shop but the cable might end up being 100 ft.
 
100 feet is fine. I have a 170ish foot run and no loss

once you get past 200-250 feet then you shuld upgrade the cable to RG11
