Very intresting, when I read this article I was wondering did they set up a bunch of TV's, Sats and cable boxes with dividers like the old "Pepsi Challenge":)

I find it funny with all the E* subs bashing D* PQ this test shows that D* PQ is better then E*.

Where does it show this. I have had both service and would have to say that PQ on the SD channels is about the same but I can tell a difference on the HD channels and Dish won IMO. D* is doing a better job with there MPEG4 channels but there MPEG2 channels did not even come close. Once they move to MPEG4 later this year it should be anybodies game again.

At a computer.
I've seen them side by side, especially on the Discovery HD channel and you do see the full HD Lite signal on D*. Since I switching providers, when I call D*, they said they had the best HD. I told the CSR yea right.

Dish Network offers lots of HD at various picture quality - some good/some bad, some great/some terrible. DirecTV HD PQ just plain stinks all the way around - my loyal D* friends could not believe how much better the alternative are until they saw it side-by-side with their own eyes.

why do people bring fios into it.
A service that's only available in parts of a town, city, or county. Verizon hasn't wired one entire city in 5 years of digging and they will not.

I have D* and I was watching the Sox-Cubs game today which was being broadcasted from Comcast HD through the MLB:EI package and the picture looked really good. I think it looked better than the ESPN basesball games. Let's see what happens on June 20th. If the D10 launch is successful watch out cable.

All the stupid people who buy HD tvs, hook rabbit ears on top, connected with a coax cable and think they're getting HD.
All it takes to get HD may indeed be rabbit ears. In some cases, they'll get more HD channels than they could through DirecTV!

Well maybe not rabbit ears but OTA antenna's which E* subs are definately used to.

I think its comical. E* practiced illegally for years (proven by E* having to give up distants for thousands of their customers.) they have the pathetic VOOM channels, no YES HD, no NESN hd, customers are forced to have have two sats and an OTA to get programming (might as well build your own satellite farm while your at it), their HD signal quality came in third in a Comcast test, yet their subs feeling ripped off, find the need to come over the D* forums to justify their mistake.

Every time I see an E* house I see one dish pointed one way another dish pointed the other way and a sub in the middle saying"whattya want from me?"

I think that was in goodfellas.
