I have a question for those of you who have had new AT9 dishes installed, by D* or one of their affiliates.

I see where D* is telling installers to use the compression type fittings, on the AT9 coaxial cables. Did they install compression connectors on your coaxial lines or did they put the crimp type ones on?

I was just wondering, because I just reran all my coaxial lines, to get rid of my diplexers and ready my system for the new dish. Being I still am using the 3 LNB dish, I put crimp ones back on it. I left enough spare extra wire so they could replace my crimp connectors with compression ones.

A good installer will replace all those crimps ones, but i have seen installers just leave yours on and go on.....

I replace all crappy connectors with new ones....

ONLY the outside ones.. and i will bet the crimp on connector with the O ring and silicone gel will prove to be the better product.

just an opinion.
