Coolsat 5000 setup

After read your review, I got the coolsat 5000. This is my 1st time trying to install the dish & receiver. I couldn't get any channels, In the satellite setup screen, the level bar is about 90% but the Quality only 4~7% and they are in red color not in green as yours. Why? is that because the dish didn't point to the right direction? I'm in OR. Thank you in advance!!!

What dish size & LNB do you have? Also your zip code would be good too so we can get you the right angles that the dish needs to be

LNB is Digiwave Standard Ku LNBF Digital Ready DG668
RF: 10.70/12.75 GHz
IF: 950/2150MHz
LO: 9.750/10.600GHz
Gain: 55dB
(I have clueless about these paramenters )
My zip is 97229, I'm trying to point to satellite Galaxy 3C. Which angles should the dish aim? Thank a bunch!!!

Universal KU Band lnbf use LO: 10600(This type of one you have)

I am sure some will give more accurate angles but here go:
Azimuth should be around 141 degrees
Elevation should be around 32 degrees

What I am doing now is using a satellite under "Dish Settings" such as a Cband bird (or other sat I don't need) that is close to the sat I want to put in. Then rename it and change the other settings as needed. Then go to "Manual Scan" and enter an active TP from Lyngsat. Now go to "Motorized Settings" and use USALS to get close and then Disecq to fine tune.

You can also move to the far east or west of the list until you find a blank spot, but I prefer the above method since your birds will be organized from east to west properly. I had to do a reset on my 4000 and I started doing it this way-much neater. Only disadvantage is you lose any pre-programmed TPs if you have to rename 2 or 3 in a row. But you can do a blind scan and get them back.
