101w up north.
ive taken down enuff BUDs now that i can be a little more selective when adding dishes to my collection. here is a super score i found in the local bargain rag. the first is a 10 footer that i didnt have one of yet. if anyone can identify it thatd be cool. it has some slight damage to the rim but looks straight. it was facing north looking at some trees hiding from the hail. the second is a like new 12 footer. i could only see 1 or 2 hail dents in the whole dish and the actuator looks new. the 10 footer was 50 obo and the 12 footer was 100 obo. i walked away with them both for 100 and he said he had some gear in the house hed throw in. not sure what kinda feeds they have but i may have lucked out there too. its only my second 12 footer out of 20 or so BUDs in my shed. i doubt my neighbs would be happy if i set one of them monsters up. 2 10 footers in the backyard is enuff. haha. tempted tho.

Can't say I've ever seen a 20 panel mesh dish before. Are there 5 feed legs?

it breaks down to 10 panels. and yes there are 5 feed legs. i got a 12 foot like it last summer but it was black and had some damage to the mesh. this one is mint.

i forgot to mention the 10 foot dish thats next door to these two. i hope to get it too. haha.

well the plan is to eventually end up ware my fiance lives. its a 12 acre yard on 150 acres directly adjacent to town. then i want to have one stationary BUD for each sat. just to say i did. haha. and if that dont happen... i have tons of spare dish parts or i might even part with one for a friend. as for my fiance giving me grief... she gets more excited about dish hunting than i do these days. haha. im a lucky guy. she wants a 24 footer. im off to go take these down.

That silver one looks like a Clearview made by a defunct company in Canada called Tee-Comm. The first thing that you want to do is replace the factory bushings with some heavy duty farm implement bearings. I installed many of those dishes in the cold Canadian winter. :)

Thanks for the info. I will be taking one down as soon as the rain stops. The owner didn't know the make but said it was a manufacturer in British Columbia. I believe your right about the bearings there seems to be alot of play in the dish.

the 12 footers polar mount is already set up with bearing and grease nips. its in 9.5 / 10 condition. the black 10 footer was a rusty beast. ive never seen a dish like it. it only split in half and is made of small 1/2 inch square tubing. it could be a home built but who knows. the feed support arms were made of conduit and it had an old chaparral feed. not much good. the 12 footer had an old school c/ku lnbf. either way i got both home and found another 8 or so dishes in that small town. the fiance even told me im swapping this 12 in for one of the 10 footers in my yard. yay!!

as for canadian BUD manufacturers... the only one i have heard of is pembina parabolics but i couldnt search out any info about them. i guess there would be startrak too but they seem to be a sami distributor rather than a manufacturer.

LOL, me too. I'm guessing cheap twin Cband LNBFs with multi-switches and diseqc switches. 20 ortho feeds with 40 Cband LNBs and power inserters would be some serious cash. Make those orthos Bullseyes and add 40 Ku LNBs, and the price tag would be crazy.

i only run one ku ortho and two cband orthos. all my other dishes have c2's or dmx522's. right now i only have 11 feeds operational but someday ill build my monster farm. switches will consist of a diseqc 8x1 fed by 4 diseqc 4x1s which in turn will be fed by 4x8s. nothing spectacular and most new recievers support diseqc 1.1.
