I have had DTV since Christmas 08 and while my hd DVR and hd receiver are fine, my SD D12-100's are less responsive as days and weeks go by. When changing channels the sound comes up immediately but the picture lags with a black screen. As days go on it gets worse. This happens on all 3 D12-100's.
The response time gets sufficiently intollerable in about 2-3 weeks of use and is dependent on how often the device is used. Since installation, the tv downstairs (least used) has only needed 1 reset. The tv in the back room (moderate use) needed 2 and the kitchen tv (most used) needed 4.
A reset fixes the problem each time.
My signal strength is excellent (96%) and no other receiver displays this problem when one of these boxes gets slow.
I sent an email to DTV and will probably hear from them in a day or two.
Any ideas of what I could try?
