DCT5100 cable box

Comcast can't answer this so maybe someone here can. I am trying to use the front A/V inputs on the Motorola DCT5100. No one can tell me how to switch over to these inputs. Anyone here know how?

are they inputs or outputs. i don't have that box, but on my box, the front av is for outputting to a vcr.

Looking at the DCT5100 manual, I don't see any AV at all on the front.

The 6400/6412 on the other hand has AV inputs but I don't know if they are activated.
