"defective" receiver

The black ones may be real Coolsat 6000's... or clones... don't know.
The silver ones can't be 6000's, can they?
That's the wrong case for a 6000... is that the 5000 case?

One I see says missing power board, one says rainbow picture.
Only one says "scrambled channels", the rest are junkers.
None say they come with remote.

I don't think this is a good place to get an ex-hacker receiver to use for FTA.
The $30 shipping is by itself a bad sign.

I would agree too many things wrong , seller also has new ones for $80 & free shipping
so i would be leary of looking for a good deal if this guy is posting what he feels is actually wrong with the unit , its probably something a reload of fresh filmware won't correct or he would have tried it. maybe for a more advanced electronics person its a deal....

the silvers are pictures of a 5000 and like Anole mentioned no remote is listed and AS IS is listed + No Returns

the shipping price is what Freetech charged lol lol and they also are located in LA

The $30 shipping
thats a lot of shipping for a actual $10 shipping fee

I got a silver Coolsat 6000 Premium on Ebay and it is authentic / not a clone. :)

I think it is weird that it was factory sealed and had "third party" firmware on it........ :(

I'm not griping that there were no silver 6000's....
...there probably were, as with many sets which came in two colors.
But, shouldn't all 6000's have the big circle on the left front panel?
Isn't that the sign of the 4000 case?

Well no matter, I think plenty have expressed good reason to stay clear of these broken units.
Not even suitable for parts, after those shipping charges.
I live near enough to go over, but wouldn't take the trip.
I suspect the shipping charges wouldn't be waived for on-site pick-up.

So, who would like to buy some of my older computers?
Guaranteed to be non operational, of course. ;)
May be missing some parts. :)
Real cheap, for sure.
Shipping to be negotiated.

If you go to the coolsat site it will tell you how to spot a clone.

well i would love to get one but , i don't read "remote included" plus i have three stb already here and one for the pc ...... i'm going to save up for the HD version :) but if its something that filmware will fix then it might be worth it.

so read the discription ... might be a good deal or it might not.
