So,

Does it include Satellite TV or no?

Or Cell/Wireless Phones and Internet Connections, Voip, etc.

Or ALL OF THE ABOVE?

Just curious/wondering as I may go to Telecommunication Engineering Graduate School. Thanks for posting.

Telecommunications is a very broad term, It is any form of communication/data exchange/video/audio push, pull, interactive service over any electronic media whether it be telephony (of any type), RF (TV/Radio), FIoS, Microwave, Satellite, Broadcast or Directed service. The internet is included in this but strictly speaking it falls into IT rather than Telecommunications. But the line has been blurred by the emergence of internet telephony and video conferencing.

Essentially if people can communicate (broadcast or interactive) via electronic means, it is telecommunications.

Good luck!

well..When you figure all of those technologies were begun by the phone company ..(bell labs)......................AT&T also owned the first radio and TV broadcast networks but was forced to divest.....
