Does the VIP722 have a way to read a diagnostic menu? Past DVRs I have used had a procedure to perform that would bring up the diagnostic menu. It was accomplished by pressing a couple of buttons at the same time at the receiver and then the menu would pop up. It would give you things like the temperature of the receiver and many more things.
