direct tv phase III dish with H24 dvr will it work togather

i have a direct tv H24 dvr will it work with the older phase III satellite dish? i can get the non HD channels but no HD. what my question is will the phase III dish get HD channels too and do i run just one coax straight to the receiver . i do have the inline prossesser for the receiver.also is there something in the set up menu to change what dish you are working with? i've read different post on this dish working and others say no go to a slimline dish. i called direct tv they say it will work.

No, the Phase III dish won't get any hd channels. They are on satellites that the Phase III dish doesn't receive signals from.

Phase III looks at 101, 110, and 119. The Slimline dish for HD looks at 99, 101, and 103.

Not exactly Matt. The Slimline could also see 110 and 119. It depends upon the lnb.
