Direct TV Tivo and HD Receiver

Hope this isn't silly but here goes:

I have a Direct TV II receiver in my den and have it hooked up to my regular Television. Have just purchased a Panasonic HD Projector and I will tell you that the 106 inch diameter picture is incredibe hooked up to my RCA Direct TV HD Receiver. Question:

Can I hook up my Tivo to the HD sat?
Or should I hook up my VHS to the HD receiver or can I not do either one. I understand that the tivo or VHS will not be in true HD but has anyone tried their Tivo with an HD set or projector....anybody follow?? Thank you!!

is the Tivo a standalone tivo or a directv reciever with tivo? If it is standalone you can hook it up using composite video or s-video and if it is a directv reciever you could just add that to your account and run another sat feed to it.
