DirecTV and "Auto Hop" feature???

Does anyone know if DirecTV will ever have the same feature like Dish's Auto Hop?

It is possible, I hear the software is already built in the Genie software, it just needs to be turned on by DIRECT. The question is when if ever will it ever be enabled.

DIRECTV's Auto Skip uses technology that DIRECTV aquired when DIRECTV purchased ReplayTV.

Is there a way to make the 30-second skip act like it does on DISH where it just skips to that point in the recording and not "fast forward" like it does now?

Go into "smart search" Type "30SKIP" search

Got it set up on one of the genie clients. Nice!! The procedure was a little off as the auto record or done screen came up instead of nothing found.
