DirecTV - SONY SAT-B2 satellite receiver

Hi All,

Does anybody know if above mentioned receiver has a digital OTA tuner? Thanks.

That is so old it barely has functionality. No SD receivers have OTA tuners built in.

I owned a couple of those back in 1996. They have an analog pass through of signal when the receiver is off so an antenna could be connected to it and pass the analog antenna signal (or a vcr signal) through to the tv.

I know they had pass thru's, more than likely they were analog, I'm fairly certain that the old ones did not have a Digital tuner in them.

When that model was introduced, the digital TV specification was still being worked out.

I have the Sat-B2 and a Sat A2 if anyone is interested.
