DIRECTV Transponder Map ~ Data 5/14/2025

I overlooked that there are 15 Fast APG PIDs (SCIDs) on TPN 5 for 15 local markets . They are probably not going to convert that TPN to HD. The transponder has been on and off this morning. When up, It has a solid DSS modulated multiplexed digital signal, but there are no audio or video PIDS present. When it is down, there is still a strong DSS QPSK carrier with a SNR of 14.5 dB here in Northern NY. It appears to be fed by random noise. My guess is that they are making changes or repairing equipment in the multiplexors or other equipment in the chain of electronics feeding the uplink transmitter.

I corrected a typo. 15 local markets

The application for renewal of its license is for 5 years, until August 23, 2030. The application states that it will have enough fuel until 2035, but the FCC wants renewals in 5 year increments, according to the application.

According to the DirecTV Business MVP merch store, the 5 NASCAR on Prime Video races starting May 25 will air on Channel 9550 since there's no football on that channel until late August (preseason)

The old 95/119 satellite test channels on 9503/9513/9514 that have been pointing to the Ku Offline slate for the past few years, have finally been removed

I remember when USSB used the 900's. The good ole days.

Well IIRC, they've had sports channels in the 900s since 2020, initially because they were running out of room in the 700s due to major tennis and golf tournaments overlapping.
For a short time in the year prior (2019), Comedy Central and BET had their then-newly added west coast feeds on channels 901 and 902, respectively, before eventually moving them to 249-1 and 329-1.
Can't recall them using the 900s for anything else following that USSB merger.
