But it is a fair comparison, to be able get Sunday Ticket on DirecTV you had to get a programming package, so even if you received ST free, you still had at least $1600 in programming costs for the year.
Average DirecTV Monthly Bill-$140 a month-$1680 ( maybe get ST for free)
ST if you have to pay for it- +300=$1980
YTTV with ST-$1080 for a year
Last-no Live TV Service-Hulu Bundle, Peacock, Paramount All Commercial Free ( these streaming services have the majority on what is on Live TV)-$40 a month
ST-$300 a total of $780 for the year
So if you went for YTTV with ST, you are saving $600-900 a year.
Like I said .... I was talking about the actual Sunday Ticket, not the Programming. (but no one seems to understand that, they just move to thier aganda)
Sunday Ticket started at $79 and increased all the way to roughly $350 ...
Did You LIKE paying $300+ for ST, NO you did not ....
People said in this thread Years ago that it would be Much Cheaper, I said No it wouldn't because D* set the bar for what they can get for it.
Unfortunately I was probably right.
Its going to Probably start around $250 as an introductory, get as many people interested as possible and move up from there .
Of course this is just a guess, as we have No idea as of yet, no word from Google/Youtube.
I can see a time where I will no longer find it feasible to watch the ST.
I doubt that you'll be able to negotiate with Google on price, or for that matter even have anyone to Talk to at Google.
The 1 huge change is that you can buy it as a Stand Alone .... of course it its priced out of everybody's price range, it doesn't make a difference.
