Help(if it is possible)

Came home today and turned on the bedroom TV. No Picture. Only sound is a fast buzz-like a kid making a motor boat sound-but a little faster. The power light on fromt of unit is out. If I unplug it-sound stops. Left it unplugged five minutes-plugged it back in-same sound-no power light-no picture.

Had a big storm today-lot of lightining.

Any thoughts?
Am I screwed?
Is the thing toast?

Where is the sound comming from?

Frrom the TV audio. Soon as i unplug the sound stops.
