Dish 211 Broadband Connection

I recently purchased a 211 for my basement TV. I connected the Broadband connection thinking it would have some kind of online programming capability like I do on my 622 and 722 but didn't see it. Before I disconnect this, is there any advantage or ... well, what exactly is this connection used for on the 211?

About the only thing it's useful for is sending status info to Dish more quickly than dialup, including PPV purchases. If you have multiple receivers, a broadband connection will keep the Audit Nazis away.

What would be great is either MRV from a Dish DVR or DishOnline streaming. Or how about something really awesome: DLNA viewing of your NAS video content?

YES. The only two things I miss about my Tivo + ota/cable combination. Streaming from pc and netflix at the push of a button. Having access on one remote and not needing to change the tv input is really nice.

Advice on upgrade?

Is PlatinumHD worth the 10$
