I've used them all and I choose Windows. The non-existence of a Dish app will not change that choice.

It's amazing, the number of people who feel an insatiable need to poke fun and belittle something, just because it's not as popular as their latest toy. The fact that some number of people actually like and use the thing never even occurs to them. It's not the one they like, so it must be worthless.

Maybe hay haven't gotten over how Microsoft took Nokia, a well-respected brand, and reduced it to a late-night talk show punchline. Then, eliminated the name. At least it has a 3.5mm headset jack

Sorry, that doesn't help your current problem. The best hope would be for HTML5 support but as you noticed, Flash keeps hanging around...
