I would think it would depend on what kind of DISH employee you are. I highly doubt that a CSR or an installer is going to get updates first. Any proof to this claim? Or point for that matter?

Maybe if you're on their engineering team, but not for any regular dish employee.

I think Scott indicated it's rolled out by the order in which the receiver was produced. So far, that appears to be the case.

Dish really needs a CE test program like DireCTV has.

They could run it all from this web site. Basically everyone agrees to the test rules and to never call for support.
In exchange you can down load the latest every Friday night after 11PM.
If there are issues you can rollback.

Its the best way to test as it will be with REAL test users watching real tv, even kids programming. Dish Engineers cant test all things.

Just a suggesting dish . . .

your thread title indicates otherwise ...

so you're saying at some point in the future that dish employees will get hopper updates first? we'll see...

Nah, you're just reading into it too much. As of yesterday it was announced dishscribers will get them first to post feedback on dishforum. Silly people.

it's only a good thing that Dish might be doing some real testing before this stuff gets pushed out to customers. Lot more complaints after s212 which could have been easily avoided.

Of course I also thought pretty much everyone was friendly on here.

Don't let a few of the many dissuade you. Good job deleting your post. You wouldn't have been the first to get outed and pay the price.
