Let's hope they sweeten the pot with RSN'S in HD but also more HD added. That would be sweet.

"Stand-alone pricing" is not a good choice of words for the HD programming. You cannot buy JUST the HD package. Maybe "HD layer?" :)

OK
Yeah well glad the HD rate did not go up just a increase on the AT plans so I wonder what SD Channels they will be adding to the new plans?

If it wasn't for the damn Science Channel I could live with going down to the AT200 package.

I may cut our HD channels and just have the HD locals since we don't watch much if any of the national HD channels. They are way too repetitive.

How is FIOS TSC if you've seen it compared to dish, direct or cable for anyone?I could care less about the cd channels. How about more HD programming channels like RSN'S in HD.

what I dont understand is they give me a 18 month contract and I would have thought it is 18 months at the same rate. for $3 more a month they better give me something more....

Yeah well glad the HD rate did not go up just a increase on the AT plans so I wonder what SD Channels they will be adding to the new plans?

Well, for Platinum subs, the HD rate DID go up. AEP currently: $84.99. HD Platinum (AEP+HD) currently: $99.99. AEP increases $5 to $89.99 with $20 for HD to a total of $109.99. It seems we not only lost the $5 discount for HD we got as HD Platinum subs, but also have the additional $5/month on top of it. $3/month more is really not that bad at all, and is what I would expect. $10 more for absolutely nothing additional is NOT what I would expect and is rediculous.

Now, if come February 1st when these prices go into effect, if we have more HD (RSN's in HD do not benefit me as FSN Cincinnati has no HD feed) the increase could possibly be justified for those on Platinum. But that would mean CinemaxHD (who knows if that will happen with the HBO legal stuff), A&EHD, MHD and any others that could be uplinked (INHD?).

I'll continue to bitch & moan, but even if it really is $10 more a month, I'll still write the check unless FIOS becomes available (fat chance anytime this century). :)

I agree with you dahauss.I hope they have more programming coming soon to keep people from leaving and to compensate for another rate hike.

Yes, 18 month commitment that also states that rates are "subject to change". Sucks, but true. Me? I have 0 commitment so I could leave if I wanted, but I'm not going back to TWC and paying nearly $80/month more for a lot LESS, or D* for less HD (maybe if things change in 2007 I'll consider it).

As much as we love our 622s, it's getting very hard to pass up the 12-month $29.95 special being dished up by the local Adelphia/Comcast since they are losing customers left-and-right to satellite and FiOS: digital cable, HBO, Showtime, Starz, no DVR fee for 6 months, and 1st HD receiver free; two HD DVRs, and one HD Cablecard for my Sony ATSC/QAM HD DVR for under $60, plus tax.

I was really hoping for a modest price increase of $3-6 per package, but for the HD channels to be added free-of-charge for all customers...this is what FiOS does, and I feel that HD should no longer be sold at a premium.

On a postive note...choice is good!

A lot of people are saying because of this increase they are moving to FIOS. My question is, didn't FIOS just have a major price change recently?
