I have a Birdview solid but haven't used it since the 4DTV dish mover quit working. Looking into getting a Dish Network package. Can the DN LNB be mounted on a BUD and how? Has anyone gotten a DN installer to do it?

While it is technically possible to receive Dish programming with a BUD, it isn't going to happen unless you do it yourself. And that means learning why you won't want to do it too ;) A dish LNBF is designed for a offset Ku dish and not just any ku dish but a particular model dish. They have different dishes and different LNBF configurations for each one. They only thing a dish installer might do is laugh for suggesting it.

This is how a typical Dish Network installer would add their service to your BUD.

On a serious note, Dish Network needs signals from multiple satellites to properly operate. There are more disadvantages to installing on a BUD than there are benefits. It really is best to use their multi-LNBF dish.

Why not enjoy your Birdview again? For about $250 you could have an excellent controller and quality DVBS2 receiver. Tons of channels are in the clear which may interest you!
