I must protest what Dish has been doing recently. Namely advertising their XXX Sex movie channels on Fox and CNN during commercial breaks.

Give me a break! If Dish doesn't stop it soon, I am going to call up corporate headquarters and complain.

Dish pretends to be so family oriented, too.

Who cares bring on the porn,,, ;)

Remember the slogan TV doesn't have to suck....

Gee wonder what Mitch would do if they showed those commercials on Lifetime

"turn off the wifebeater network....watch men treat women correctly. Watch Ten XTasy"

I am sure corporate knows they are airing. And I am sure they weighed on how much people would complain vs how many people would order.

Yeah, they're greedy slime. . It's all about money. If enough people complain, they will stop it.

that's tellin' 'em! Maybe if you said please with sugar on top...;) :D

The only ones I thought were really offensive were the breast enlargement pills comercials Dish Network was inserting into Cartoon Network. Lets hawk air time to people who pray on adolescents in the tweens and young teens. Ugh. That went on for months before the plug was pulled.

No offense but if that material is not something you find apealing then dont order it, you know you have the choice right? I myself have seen the commercial for the ppv of the playboy, penthouse, and other girls lastnight and I was not offended as all of the women in the commercial were wearing bikini's that covered any area that could be considered questionable. What I did take marginal offense to was at the end of the commercial that showed a 5 second clip of two women rubbing each others shoulders and the narrated audio clip suggesting something more would be shown in the ppv.

I dont have a problem with pornography, its as old as history and pretty much a part of life in most area's of the world except those that wish to force opression on its people but thats something for another area of the forums here so back ontopic.

Its a commodity, if you want to complain then please feel free to call up to dish network and voice your complaint, your best bet is to send an email to the ceo@dishnetwork.com address as calling someone at the phone centers is the least effective route you can take, in the mean time if you are looking for truely family programming then subscribe to the sky angel package on 61.5 and drop all other programming including your local stations.

So is boxing/ultimate fighter ppv commericals family oriented? I'd rather my young kids see naked girls than two idiots beating each other up.

Geez you make it sound like the commercial goes like this

"Why watch Lifetime where the women are screaming no no as their spouse goes to hit them. Turn on 492-497 and hear them scream yes yes to their spouse"?

now there's a commercial :)

One could only hope considering that christianity goes out of its way to force its points of view amongst other things on the rest of the world, whats fair for one shoud be fair for another so far as I see it.

I've never seen it, but then again I don't watch Fox News, and there is where dish screwed up to begin with, putting it on a channel like fox news
