, I've seen it all. Left in 2007,
Then in that case...you have NOT "seen it all". A heck of a lot has happened in the retailer/customer interface since then. Heck...in 2007 the freaking iPad hadn't even come out. You left when tech began.
I do however understand your idea of the interface with the wally being the same, however, I HATE the wally...with good reason.

Fair point, I missed the part of elderly customers trying to find their Wi-Fi passwords, same crap just slightly different. In my day they'd knock the TV off of channel 3 and you'd have to talk them through that.

I love the Wally, no issues at all. Cheap to buy, no fees other than a $5 access fee...like Dish in the 90's. I think it is really underratted.

Ohhhhhh....you can't begin to imagine :facepalm

Technology has changed SO much SO fast that it has left many behind. And a lot of it isn't necessarily their fault. A lot of the tech folks tend to make things WAY harder than it needs to be. They keep changing things.....they don't change things to make things easier....they just change things for the sake of change. I'll never forget back when Viasat came out their that AWFUL VS2 modem. I was on their forum and there was an endless stream of frustrated customers who complained about setting up their personal ssid and password settings for the modem. The instructions from Viasat were totally incorrect....not even close. After watching the Viasat forum reps give one misleading post after another, I finally intervened and gave clear, concise instructions on what to do. One of the old timers on the forum commented that he had NEVER had ANYONE give precise instructions on what to do and in what order and EVERYTHING was exactly as instructed. Personally, that, to THIS day, was one of the best compliments I have gotten to this day. Shortly thereafter, I was FIRED from the Visast Dealer Council. These companies do NOT like anyone to showcase just how incompetent they are....and I am WAY from the smartest guy in the room. I just have common sense.

If you cancel locals, do you lose 4K Fox?
