I would say it is an old pic. I will contact Mark at Dish Depot and ask him. Can you take another look at the Skew Plate in the 500+ dish? It look likes is has an elevation adjustment rod that I have seen in the 1K4 dish. Do you know by any chance?

Yes, the tech was sad that I already have a Ring camera system. He also mentioned how much nicer my TV would sound if I had a Polk sound bar. LOL

What is the DISH 1000 used for that is in the list that NYDutch posted of the dish measurements?

That was the first HD dish, before the 1000.2. It used two lnb's, a dpp twin and a dp dual. A real pita to install.

Well, DISH contractor just left. I now have a black DISH dish. He said that the newer DISH 1000+ and 500+ dishes have the elevation rod adjustment in the Skew Plate. Have you seen that too HipKat for your International installs? Black dish sure is pretty. Thanks to everyone for all the DISH dishes info in this thread. Learned a bunch.

It does not have the rod like the 1000.4 does. And in case it wasn't clear, the 500+ and 1000+ dish is the exact same. You're essentially turning the 500+ into a 1000+ by adding a dp dual lnb to hit the 129 sat.

The older style backing structures for that Dish did not have the fine adjustment rod and nut. The newer ones do. Same the .4 Dishes

It makes it mush easier to fine tune it as it is a front heavy dish just like the 1000.4
