Hi Everyone!
Does anyone know the dish sizes?
I know that:
30 inches = 75 cm
33 inches = 85 cm
36 inches = 90 cm
Please describe all dish sizes up to 10 foot. I am no good understanding the metric stuff, especially on satellite dishes.
I reckon there are some of us who gets frustrated determining the dish sizes from the cm and meter sizes.

Rule of thumb conversion:1"=2.5 cm
1m=100cm or about 40"
Devide inches by 2.5 to get cm,
multeply cm by 2.5 to get inches.
This is very close.
Reinhold.

When I saw the thread title, I thought that perhaps you were going to talk about the difference between actual dish size and the dish size number used in marketing.

For example, a Winegard 76cm dish is:
Effective aperture
76 cm (29.9 in.)
Antenna height
87 cm (34.3 in.)
Antenna width
80 cm (31.5 in.)

I'm not sure how "effective aperture" is derived.

It reminds me of TV sizes or stereo amplifier power...

Thank you guys!
This site has really been a great blessing for me since I got into the FTA hobby!
I want to understand all I can about the FTA hobby. By asking about how to understand the metric sizes of the dish, I would know what is being said.
NOW I know why metric system was taught back when I was in high school. I thought it was all crap!
