Business is good?

No; Just so many people with a question or complaint that they need more reps to answer the phones. Think about this Dish has roughly 15 million subscribers. Direct has roughly 20 million. Yet in just the satelliteguys forums there are roughly 60,000 dish post and only 30,000 direct post. So for what ever reason people at a pretty high rate are needing to ask a question, comment, or complain about Dish.

Alajoe - As you can see, Dish also has its fanboys here on Satguys. That also helps to account for the posting discrepancy. But, you have a point.

lets see, what am I supposed to say here...oh yeah, kiss my ass!

Without being "fanboyish" it's known that this site has more news and I guess you can say connections to Dish, the other site has more news and connections to Directv

yeah, but to "them" (and we all know about whom I am speaking), it doesn't matter that you tried to clarify it.

Yea, good news is what the OP wrote looks like a bit of job creation which is always a good thing :)

While that is an interesting set of numbers, it doesn't really reflect the differences. At DBSTalk there are much more DirecTV postings than Dish postings.

The reason?

For whatever reason, Satteliteguys is considered a "Dish site", while DBSTalk is considered a "DirecTV site".

And the malcontents.
True. The real malcontents almost equal the number of fanboys. But there are many people who, while still preferring Dish over DirecTV and are quick to offer praise where praise is due, are also willing to point out the many annoyances that Dish does as a company, from the ridiculous fees to the buggy product rollouts to the all-too-common carriage disputes. They are not malcontents. They are people without brand loyalty and emotional attachments to vendors. And they can easily criticize those vendors without feeling like they are betraying a loved one. They also are not personally insulted if someone criticizes a vendor or service they are happy with.

For $11.00 per hour?? I pay a High School kid to help around the yard/house that much.
100 jobs is a 100 jobs. But, it's true that $440/wk doesn't go very far. And, they are not going to find very skilled individuals for that rate.

I see a political career in your future.
