Dishanywhere recording

Trying to set a recording for All American on CW, first no record button appears, hitting more gets to selection to record series, selecting new only results in error your recording has not been set.
This problem has existed for months.

It varies. On one device, I can't set a recording, I'll switch to another, and no problem. I've experienced the same thing as the OP

DA works much better on my Xs Max than my 6+. Skip ahead, especially.

I tried to record a live show in progress a few times using DA, and it didn't work. It was a let down. Yeah, I've come across a lot of posts who cite not being able to either set timers or even record content in progress. Dish really needs to fix this because it is a big part of the whole point of Dish Anywhere. I'm just glad that most of the time, I can wait until I get home to create timers, but not being able to record live content in progress, that's a no-brainer thing that SHOULD work. And FWIW, Dish Anywhere playback of DVR and LIVE TV has been utterly flawless the last few months. It was highly unreliable before.

It seems like the later/newer the mobile device, the better DA functions, or at least that has been my experience. My Moto G4 (G6 is the latest) or my recently purchased Samsung tablet offer great DA experience--as of the last few months, but older OS's seem to struggle with DA and its odd behavior. My Fire Tablets used to handle DA very well, but recently the DA has behaved very oddball for some reason resulting in the Fire Tablet experience with DA is unreliable.

The last couple of weeks recording has worked pretty well with dishanywhere. Today tried to set recording for Oklahoma-West Virginia football game and got unable to set error. Also have noticed record times sometimes ignore timer setting and just use guide timing.
