Do the D* HD-DVR's have a 4:3 aspect ratio mode?

Quick question...do the HR20 & HR21 have a 4:3 mode for standard aspect ratio HDTV's? Or will everything look squeezed (or cut off)?

I think there is a setting for both modes in the setup screen

You can control how 4x3 material is displayed. You can display it cropped, stretch or unaltered in 4x3. You can also control the color of the pillar bars if you do display it 4x3.

I have a HR20 hooked to my 27" Sony in the bedroom. I am useing the s-video connection, set the resolution to 480i, and output ratio to 4:3. I letterbox the HD channels unless it is not a widescreen program, then I use 480i crop which fills the entire screen like a normal 4:3 channel but it looks better. The SD channels work the same as always. Hope that helps.
