The crawler on DoD News (which until a little while ago was The Pentagon Channel) says it will cease satellite delivery on April 17 and switch to Internet-only delivery: http://www.defense.gov/live/

It's available in SD and HD via 11820 H 20000 on SES 1.

It's also carried via the AFRTS mux on 99W C-band. I guess it's possible that the C-band transmission might continue as it's aimed at US servicemen as part of the AFN package. We'll have to wait and see.

When they stopped broadcasting Fox News/CNN there I stopped watching it anyway so if it goes away there's no great loss on my end.

That's a shame, since I am a Air Force Brat that I like keep up on the news.:( But on the other hand they can be found on G-18 bird 123*w.

I imagine that notice is only for the SES-1 distribution feed.

I bet the AFN and VA rebroadcasts of the channel will remain as they likely will source it
from the internet stream.

Crap. I was gonna set up a Ku dish at my Father in law's house just for this. (Retired Marine)
