Don't know what happening?

Hi guys, Newbie here! I Have a sonicview elite with a motorized dish. I did the install, then scan sats and I get 1340 channels from differents sats and almost all of them except for a few ads ones I can't see them. The display on my sonicview shows a $ next to the channel # including the public broacasting channels. Any Ideas? I understand the some of the channels I can't no see them without paying , but nothing out of 1340.

I dont know about your sonicview. But when I first started with a Pansat 2500A receiver I was running into the same problem. The dollar sign channels are paid channels. Try scanning again for the FTA channels only. You may already know this, but when you go to watch a sat be sure you are on the right sat for the channels that you want to watch. Otherwise you will not get a picture
