DTV 72.5 help

I have a new Direct TV Dual dish for the 95 and 101, but only want to use it for the 72.5. I am using a Spaun 2150 satellite meter and have been able to detect the 82 bird but not the 72.5. I am at Lat.27,Lon.98. Deep South Texas. Any help appreciated.

Huh? There is no D* bird@82 - what exactly ARE you trying to do with that dish? Sounds like you are finding the Nimiq 2 Canadian bird@82, which is also the same freqs as 72.5. Also, you might want to hook up a plain D* receiver when you are trying to find it, as it will ONLY respond to the 72.5 bird. (& NOT those other DBS services) This way, you'll know when you're on the right bird.
Are you also aware that 72.5 ONLY has even x-ponders active - no odds...
