DTV box replacment?

How to save programs when getting new DTV box? My old DTV box going bad & must replace with new & DTV said cannot save all old programs? Is there any way?

The only way is to clone the hard drive.

There is one other way, play the program and record it in real time on a vcr or DVD recorder

Thanks, guess I have problem as I wish to save complete stored recorded programs so can put in new DTV box!
