Hi Guys and gals. New here to the site. I had a quick question, I have a friend whl lives in an apartment complex that offers Direct tv to their tenants. He only gets a limited amount of channel on the DTV box that he has. What he wants to do is take one of my HD boxes with my package and use it at his house, is this possible? Like I said the association has it in all the apartments, but with limited amout of channels for free( well not free, you pay for in your association fee) He wants to get one of mine which has the premium package and use it. Let me know, thanks.

Use of your box at a friends house is called account stacking and could get your account closed if you were caught.

More than likely your box wouldn't work on his system due to the satellites they are aimed at.

Yah, don't do it. Having one account in two permanent locations is likely to get you shut down. Your friend should find a way to upgrade his service himself.
