DVD/VCR Combo?

Looking for a Unit that will record/play dvd and VCR combined in one unit. I know there are several units that will play DVD's and also have VCR, but I am looking for something that will RECORD digital also.

If you have a dvd recorder/player do you really need a vcr as well? the more components in one box will increase the likelihood of a problem. It has been my experience that the vcr will go down long before the dvd will. when i got my pvr i got rid of all my vcr tapes and vcr. my home videos i had a local service archive to dvd for me. just something you might want to think about.
