I am considering cancelling my Dish service, and was wondering if I would still be able to use my reciever to access all of the stuff on the DVR and Hard drives that i have recorded after my service is cancelled. I currently have the VIP622.

Thanks.

Menocare,

Assuming you actually purchased your Dish receiver and not leased it, you will be able to playback any recordings on your DVR without having A Dish Subscription.

Just make sure you disconnect the sat inputs and phone line/ethernet before you make the call to cancel, you can than watch anything on it but not on a EHD.
