DVR Remote Control

Hello everyone. I was just wondering. The DVR remote does not list my brand of TV. Is there anyway around that. Or do they sell a better universal remote? Thanks

What brand is your TV? A good place for "alternate" codes may be found at remotecentral.com, there is another remote but even an off brand TV would be made by a major and likely have a code.

I hate to refer you away from here but that is the best remote repository on the Net.

Check remotecentral.com. The remotes they are using are private label jobs from UEI, and their guides do not list all of the capable alternate codes the devices can use.

My TV is an Sansui, and it's not listed on the DVR (Hughes) as a supported TV. I was able to get it to work by trying the codes. Once I went into programming mode, I hit Channel Up 86 times (noted it just in case I had to program it again). Be patient; it does take some time.
