So the 1000.4 with WA LNBs has all them things in my wish list? Why are they rare? Does DISH no longer stock them? Do you have any for sale at your retail store?

They were very limited production and weren't available for very long.

Unless it's the specific WA LNB that's designed for the 1000.4 dish then it's not a compatible LNB. The WA 1000.4 LNB is NOT common. The WA 1000.2 LNB on a 1000.4 dish would be a hack at best.

Hoppers do not like mixed arcs. I had 61.5, 72, 110 and 119 feeding a switch and then Hoppers and they were very confused.

The WA lnb for 1000.2 and 1000.4 are totally different. Here are photos of the two, side by side, the 1000.4 being the larger.

A do it yourselfer would probably find it easier using the rod to adjust the elevation but with a SuperBuddy type meter we have no problems aligning the stock dishes.

It would make sense that to utilize the extra size of the 1000.4 the spacing would be different. Maybe the 1000.2 lnb on the 1000.4 dish may not be optimum but for the low cost of it I would try it. Or just get the complete 1000.2 setup. It probably just gives you the signal strength it would have had on a 1000.2 dish. I don't ever remember using the elevation adjustment. So I don't think it was important. I even used mine a few times with the RV and never used it.

I don't get why they have 2 eastern arc LNB? 61.5 and 77 vs a 61.2, 72 and 77.

Why not give everyone all 3 satellites?

It's only a 5 degree difference and not a 16 degrees difference like on Directv doing an sl3 vs sl5

Changing the reflector, you must place the lnbs at the focal point of the reflector or your signal actually may go down.

Don't you have a 1000+ dish now? That is the largest WA dish made for the US. market. Why not try Brussams modification kit and report back how it works.

You're best bet if you insist on a 1000.4 dish/WA LNB, is going to be e-bay. You probably won't find very many, if any, brand new & the price will be appropriate for their "rareness"; here's an example:

As I posted, I have the 1000.4 dish & (correct) WA LNB, but quite honestly, you're just not going to see THAT much more signal with this kind of dish; probably less than a dozen points on the receiver signal scale at best. But as others have pointed out, if you try shoving the incorrect LNB on the dish, it's then probably going to be a total wash - or could actually be lower - on just sticking with a 1000.2 dish (or your current dish) to begin with.
