I could swear I had Al Jazeera English recently.

Hey, keeping with the theme of this thread. Is there any linear Ku between 30w and 63w reachable from Minnesota?

53W (need Universal LNB)
H-11633 03.111 CRISTIANA-CANAL 27 Guatemala City, Guatemala

43W
V-11956 03.125 TELEVISA CHIHUAHUA Ciudad Juarez, Mexico
V-11995 02.865 TV PUEBLA Puebla, Mexico
V-12003 03.125 TELEVISA NORESTE Mexico

I dont know about 43W. I got it from global-cm.net
I need to scan 43W one of these days to get a update to thelist

also, to anyone who is currently pointed at hispasat 1c/1d, how strong is this sat? how big does a dish on this sat need to be to be reasonably reliable?
thanks,
Denny
I have successfully used Dish500 to get a 55-65 Quality on a single setup.Hispasat is a pretty strong bird.Withbigger dish U can do a lot better.

can we convert the freq to what it would be on a standard LNB?
not for 53W...frequency is below 11700
here is an idea for an experiment, i have a few directv b-band converters, they basically are a 22khz controlled add on local oscillator that boosts the input frequency by 1400 mhz.
with a dss lnb with a lo of 11250 converted to linear by removing the dielectric plate it would give an if of 383 mhz on this transponder
with a b-band converter boosting the frequency by 1400 mhz, it would give an if of 1783 mhz, well within the L-band range.
theoretically this should work, barring any unforeseen problems, such as a bandpass filter in the dss lnb blocking lower frequencies.
think i'll try it this weekend
btw, has anyone else tried using b-band converters with fta??????

Great info!!!:up
