There's some new stuff at every slot these days along with older stuff in service and reserve.

There will be more HD locals made available. Whether you'll get yours is another matter. But your odds have increased!

You have the Big 4 plus The CW, MyNetworkTV, and WCIU in HD, if you want the smaller channels then get a dang antenna!

Considering you are in the #3 DMA I think you should get a PBS station in HD soon.

Buffalo HD locals are on 61.5 and is an Eastern Arc market. SD locals are still on Western Arc.

Echostar 16's 71 spot beams can be seen here.

Today, there are only 16 or so spot beams at 61.5w so with 71 spots available, one can expect a major increase in local into local spots from 61.5W around October 1 this year.
It should result in Dish having the capability to supply all their legally mandated coverage and more.

Will dish move Locals off the old 61.5 spots & put them on them Echostar 16 spots? Currently my Bangor, Me HD Locals on are 61.5, and I see their is a spot that covers Maine on the E16 sat.

Duh!! I forgot that the Eastern Arc uses 61.5 Thanks for the correction.
