I know I've read before that most DN dishes are too small. I was doing some searches about the super dishes and most of what I read made it seem like they are still fairly small.
Mine's about 33" x 24" (83x60cm)

still too small? useless? isn't this about the same size as the primestar 84e dishes? It has a scale on the back to adjust the skew on it. I took it down from the roof, thing was bigger than I ever realized.. made from stamped steel..

is it a keeper or a craigslist candidate?

thanks

I just got one of these as well. Haven't tried it out yet. There's an old thread on here about someone modifying one to receive 110/119/123. It appeared if you used some of the same ideas and parts from two super dishes you could make a 123/125 dish. I'm still looking for another super dish to use for parts. Not sure if anyone's tried this yet but its been implied in other threads.

There were four models (I think):
Two for 105°, and two for 121°.
Not positive, but the two models for each area, may be steel vs molded composite.
But more importantly, they have very different feedhorns, so post a picture or link if you can.

We have some threads where people re-aimed them at stronger birds, to get the stronger transponders.
Each has one bandstacked FSS LNB (10750 LO, and all), if you don't mind dealing with that.

No one would likely want it for DishNetwork. Those birds are out of service for them.
If you choose to toss it, then at least save the bolt-on LNB for someone here.
Thanks.

should have kept original FSS LNB:

I have used a starchoice 60E, which is similar but smaller than a primestar 84E and it works one some sats. It has an effective area of a 60cm dish, but weak transponders won't lock. The last I used it on was on 123, but when 125 started up it could not keep a lock on the equity channels on 123 due to interferance from 125. The 60E is 30 1/2" x 18 ", but since yours is a bit larger you might get better results than me. At one time I had it set on 97 and I could get all the FTA channels on that sat.
