We have an older 3 lnb directv dish and box that came with it. The dish was moved and re-aimed and we get somewhere between 80-95% on 101 and 119 on the signal meters, yet still no picture. We get the higher signal on clearer days and lower on cloudy.

Is this enough signal strength? We are only subscribing to and getting SD.

What else could my problem be, besides the obvious ;-)

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

If you have a picture, then the signals are high enough to get a picture. That doesn't mean they are as high as they should be. You should be getting mid to high 90s on 101. 119 has spot beams so only the one pointed at your area should have similar numbers. The signal shouldn't vary just because it's cloudy. Is the box authorized? If so, have you tried reauthorizing it through the Directv website?

OP said they get No picture.

It sounds like they are not actually on the 101 Sat.

They may be on the wrong sat jimbo. WalleyeGuy, what are your signal strength numbers on all of the transponders on 101?
