Escapes could sell a receiver with a BISS CAM in it and make subscriptions available that way if their NCTC contract would allow selling to the backyard market as a group.

one could also "leak" a BISS key but I don't think the NCTC would be happy with that and Escapes would have no way to effectively invoice/collect payment from those using the "leaked" BISS key.

At this time they use BISS-1, which is only suitable for limited distribution or single event. Last year I had discussed BISS-E usage with their CTO for receiver specific authorization. This could be an option in the future if the NCTC contract allowed.

Like many here, I found eScapes relaxing to watch. However I wouldn't subscribe to it, if this option became available.
I think that defeats the whole purpose of Free To Air. I'm NOT looking for channels to subscribe to anymore.
I had my share of that back in the 4DTV days, which offered more for the buck.

FilmOn had Escapes available last I checked. I've seen the stream, very nice actual 720p.
