VOOM Announces Additional Deals with Fox News Channel and The Golf Channel

JERICHO, N.Y., May 3 /PRNewswire/ -- VOOM, the first comprehensive
high-definition (HD) television service, announced today that it is
significantly enhancing its sports programming offerings with the addition of
both HD and standard-definition (SD) ESPN Cable Channels including ESPN, ESPN
HD, ESPN2, ESPN Classic and ESPNEWS. In addition, VOOM customers can now
enjoy in-depth, 24-hour golf coverage on The Golf Channel or turn to top news
coverage from the leading cable news channel, FOX News Channel.
"The addition of ESPN networks, FOX News Channel and The Golf Channel to
VOOM's roster is another step towards rounding out our programming and making
VOOM a comprehensive package of the best HD and SD channels available," said

VOOM's HD package includes more then 35 HD favorites such as HBO HDTV,
Cinemax HDTV, Showtime HD, STARZ! HD, Playboy HOT HD, The Movie Channel HD,
Bravo HD+ and Discovery HD Theater. In addition, VOOM features an all-
inclusive package of 21 commercial-free channels created by Rainbow Media,
available exclusively to subscribers of VOOM. The service also includes
popular cable channels in standard definition such as TNT, Nickelodeon,
Disney, TBS, CNN, A&E and AMC, as well as over-the-air digital local broadcast
channels delivered in HD where available.

VOOM's new channel line-up includes:
-- ESPN, the flagship network of ESPN, Inc, was launched in September 1979
and is available in over 88 million homes. ESPN covers 65 sports
including MLB, NBA, NFL, NHL, WNBA, college football and both men's and
women's college basketball. The network's programming includes its
flagship studio show SportsCenter, television's most comprehensive and
longest running sports news show.

-- ESPN HD, a high-definition simulcast service of ESPN, was launched
March 2003 with the ESPN first MLB broadcast of the 2003 season, Texas
at Anaheim. ESPN HD is the first 24-hour HD sports service with the
widest variety of HD sports programming events including games from
MLB, NBA, NFL and NHL and the NCAA Women's Basketball Championship.

-- ESPN2, launched in October 1993, is now available in nearly 88 million
homes. Programming features live sports events from MLB, NBA and NHL,
sports-specific news and highlights shows, and much more.

-- ESPN Classic is currently seen in nearly 54 million homes. The channel
is devoted to telecasting the greatest memories in the history of
